Accountant – Controller

System Search is currently recruiting for experienced Controllers in North Carolina locations including:
 

 
Responsibilities are:

 
• Performs General Ledger Account Reconciliation and Maintenance
• Reconciles Company Payables, Commission Receivables, Bank Accounts, and Prepaid Account Entries
• Updates Investment Accounts
• Tracks monthly Account changes and enters journal entries
• Completes month-end close responsibilities
• Reviews Status of Accounts to identify and correct misclassified items
• Runs and reviews monthly Reports
• Prepares, analyzes, and posts Financial Statements
   
   

Preferred Qualifications & Experience include:

 
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting including tax knowledge
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (CPA or CPA Candidate Preferred)
• Working knowledge of Insurance Accounting preferred
• Excellent Computer skills including MS Office, databases, and accounting software (Sage AccPac)
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment including taking on multiple projects at once
• Excellent Customer Service required, as well as ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
