Accountant – Bookkeeper

System Search is currently recruiting for Bookkeeping Accountants for South Carolina locations including:
 

  • Fort Mill, SC

 
This member of the accounting team will ensure accurate processing and recording of client bookkeeping data, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry. Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:

     

  • Maintains and corrects book of accounts
  • Receives, approves, and investigates client accounts payable invoices
  • Enters financial transactions into QuickBooks, coding and assigning each to an appropriate account for assigned small business clients
  • Responsible for communication with client, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts concerning ledger adjustments, corrections, and transactions
  • Preparation of analysis reports for monthly client revenue and expense comparisons
  • Reconciles bank and credit card statements
  • Produces reports such as balance sheets (cost compared with income), income statements, and totals by account
  • Checks for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports
  • Reconciles or notes and reports differences among records
  • Assists with 941, quarterly taxes, and end-of-year taxes
  • Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners
  • Deposits accounts receivables into client bank accounts
  • Utilizes QuickBooks, Excel, and Creative Solutions Payroll Software
  • Performs other duties as assigned by accountants or partners

Qualifications & Experience:

     

  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reports
  • Brief tax knowledge with desire to learn and grown in company
  • QuickBooks experience (both online and desktop)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, specifically spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of Insurance and Commissions preferred
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting as well as ability to work with manual set of books
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential
  • Open to recent college graduates with desire to grow into position
