Sales Leader

Currently seeking a Sales Leader for a job opening in the Richmond, VA, area. The Property & Casualty Sales Leader is responsible for hiring and managing a team of validating Producers focused on capturing new business. This position is managing only and does not have an individual sales quota. The focus is on a high Producer validation rate accomplished by managing their participation in the Insurance Producer Training Program, monitoring their prospecting activities, and instilling a consultative sales process.  Sales Leaders must have strong sales coaching and mentoring skills and have extensive Property & Casualty Commercial Brokerage experience. This is a hands-on, tactical role supporting a team-oriented sales process which requires going out on appointments with Producers. The Sales Lead will play a lead role in developing a world class insurance sales training program.   The Sales Leader will be responsible for ensuring that validating producers to achieve organic revenue growth in alignment with the strategic objectives of  the Company.
Responsibilities of the Sales Leader:


    • Assist in the development of a sales training program for new sales executives
    • Drive profitable organic revenue growth through client retention and new business production
    • Partner with the Company recruiting team to source, recruit, hire and train producers/brokers
    • Oversee/manage the Insurance Producer Training Program
    • Manage new producers usage of the CRM system and hold producers accountable to achieving key predictive metrics
    • Train new producers on a consultative sales process
    • Partner with the operations team to ensure the highest level of client solutions
    • Create positive collaboration to drive a robust cross sell process
    • Run huddle meetings to 1) prepare for new business appointments 2) keep existing clients
    • Join producers on new business appointments, assisting as needed to close sales
    • Development of a regional team

    Requirements of the Sales Leader:


    • 5-10+ years of P&C commercial brokerage experience
    • 5+ years of insurance sales management
    • Track record of successful individual P&C commercial broker sales
    • Deep knowledge and expertise of commercial P&C
    • Strong visibility within the P&C community
    • Proven track record for meeting or exceeding performance targets
    • Consultative, solutions based selling approach
    • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills
    • Collaborative, passionate, high integrity
    • Undergraduate degree
    • Active insurance license
    • Some Domestic Travel required
