Accountant – Senior Accountant

System Search is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant in multiple North Carolina Locations including:
 

 
The Senior Accountant will oversee day to day accounting functions of the organizations that includes journal entries, A/R, A/P, account reconciliations, and consolidated financial statement preparation. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will assist with month-end and year-end close, audit schedule preparation, and other accounting duties as deemed necessary.
 

Responsibilities:

 
• Performs General Ledger Account Reconciliation and Maintenance
• Performs Reconciliations of Company Payable, Commission Receivables, Bank Accounts, and Prepaid Account Entries
• Updates Investment Accounts
• Tracks monthly Account changes and enters journal entries
• Completes month-end close responsibilities
• Reviews Status of Accounts to identify and correct misclassified items
• Runs and reviews monthly Reports
• Prepares, analyzes, and posts financial statements
   
   

Qualifications & Experience:

 
• Experience in Accounting
• General understanding of accounting principles and practices (CPA or CPA Candidate Preferred)
• Working knowledge of Insurance Accounting preferred
• Excellent Computer skills including MS Office, databases, and accounting software (Sage AccPac)
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment including taking on multiple projects at once
• Excellent Customer Service required, as well as ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
